George began his sailing career at Newport Sea Base (Boy Scouts of America) spending his early summers in Newport Harbor sailing 8-foot dinghies. When he reached high school, he became an instructor at Newport Sea Base on the dinghies and sail boats up to 30 feet. George expertly taught on the water and in classrooms for several years. During this time, he also became a Sea Scout. Due to his enthusiasm for sailing and boating, he gradually became a key part of the overall Newport Sea Base aquatic program.
Looking for new opportunities to spend more time on boats and on the water, George became a junior member of the Balboa Yacht Club and then went to work for the Beek Family at Island Marine Fuel on Balboa Island. In this environment, he was able to interact daily with experienced sailors and boaters and learn how engines and mechanics come together on all types of boats. He enjoyed hustling for the customers, working with his hands, and discovering what sailors and boaters truly want and need.
George is now working with Engel & Voelkers Yachting Americas and using the knowledge he accumulated through years of following his passion for sailing and boating. The time George has spent within the Newport Harbor boating community has earned him many lasting friends and valuable connections. With his constant energy and drive to provide the best possible service for his customers and clients. George is your expert resource for all types of craft, big or small, selling in Southern and Northern California.
