$595,000

PRICE GREATLY REDUCED $90,000.!! SERIOUS SELLER READY TO SELL!!  LIONESSE is a 2001 Cheoy Lee Expedition 70 built at the Doumen shipyard on the Pearl River in China. She is a serious cruising platform, designed for long-range autonomy for extended periods away from shore side support, and for full-time living-aboard use. She is a safe, economical, and proven long range cruiser, having navigated from Alaska to the Chesapeake via the Panama Canal.

LIONESSE is a SIGNIFICANT EVOLUTION OF and a huge up-grade from the 66 Cheoy lee which became a CLASSIC, She is functionally much larger with a lot more living space inside, a better layout and a re-design of the Canoe stern, offering a large swim platorm and molded fibreglass stairway to the aft deck for safe comfortable boarding. She is also much newer than the old 66's that were built in the 1970's and early '80's. If you are looking for a SERIOUS SELF-SUFFICIENT WORLD CRUISER< PLEASE LOOK AT LIONESSE VERY CLOSELY!

She is engineered for roominess and comfort, high fuel capacity, ample storage space, walk-in engine room, convenient workshop area, and safety at sea.

The lower deck has three staterooms each with an en-suite head, sleeping six in two queen beds and two twins. The walk-in engine room and a separate workshop/pantry space are amidships.

The main deck consists of a large galley forward, a dining room and main salon, with an aft fantail deck with staircase leading to the large swim platform.

The upper deck has a large enclosed pilothouse, a sky-lounge with day head, and a large open aft deck with Dynasty stainless gas grill and seating for a large group.

The interior of LIONESSE has been finished to a very fine quality, with high-gloss wood accents, wall-to- wall carpeting, cream-colored vinyl bulkheads and overheads, and granite and marble countertops.

The galley is located forward of the saloon and dining area on the port side. Large fixed windows face the foredeck. Bamboo floors, granite counter tops and high-end stainless steel appliances make this galley a wonderful environment for creating simple snacks or gourmet meals.

The pilothouse features a Portuguese bridge, and is equipped with a full complement of modem electronics and navigation aids.

LIONESSE has a conservative cruising range at 1600 nautical miles, running at 1750 rpm = 9.4 knots. She carries 2,400 gallons of fuel and only burns 13 gallons per hour (this figure includes running a Northern Lights 20kW generator). The twin Caterpillar 3306 diesel engines are rated at 290 hp each, and have Walker Air Seps, bypass oil filters, and ZF marine gears. Grouped Racor filters provide ample fuel filtering capacity with easy changeover while underway.

The stabilizers are 9 square foot fins by Naiad. Maneuvering in close quarters is made easier by the 12hp American Bow Thruster. There are twin Maxwell 3500 anchor windlasses on the foredeck, and twin Maxwell 2200 warping windlasses on the fantail. The 13.5-foot Novurania rigid bottom inflatable tender with a Yamaha 50 HP four-cycle outboard is launched and retrieved with a Nautical Strudures 1500-lb davit on the foredeck. A Rix 3HP scuba tank compressor is fitted in the lazarette with a dine tank available. A Sea Tel stabilized TV antenna feeds a Sony 32-inch flat screen TV and a 32-inch Panasonic TV.

Electrical system is run by two 20kw Northern lights generators ( 5300  hours), 8kw inverters by Trace backed by 16 ID marine batteries, and an 18kw Atlas shorepower energy system fed by two 50- Amp 240-volt shore power cords. Sentry battery chargers and Ample Energy monitor.

The freshwater tankage holds 600 gallons. The watermaker is built by Sea Recovery, and produces 33 gallons per hour. There are several Everpure water filters in the fresh water system.

The air conditioning system is a chilled water system by Aqua-air, with a 10-ton capacity. There are 5 Vacu-Flush heads which feed into a 140-gallon holding tank. A Delta Marine ozone generator provides odor control for both grey and black water waste tanks.

Safety features include an extensive alarm system with annunciator at the bridge monitoring the bilge pumps, high bilge levels, smoke alarms throughout the vessel, and any open doors. The fire suppression system in the engine room is Ansul CO2. A closed-circuit TV monitor in the wheelhouse provides a 360 degree view of the engine room. A Newmar Intercom links all of the interior spaces. A Buell air horn, ACR searchlight, and a Winslow 6-man liferaft round out the safety equipment.

2005 RIVA 59 MERCURIUS"Eight and a Half" a great value for a timeless Riva designLow time Twin MAN 1350 HP Engines & Kahler 15.5k GensetFull Air Cond., SATTV, BOSE, Hydraulic Swim & Gang PlankGarmin GPS/Chart/Radar, Retractable Awning, Bow Thruster, Simrad AutopilotRefrig, Dishwasher, Icemaker, Microwave, Bosch Electric Stove TopAvailable for Showings in Fort Lauderdale, FLMotivated Sellers Open to Offers for Immediate Sale BoatTest com Review & Walkthru: https://vimeo.com/234371883
The 59 Riva is quietly known as one of the finest riding boats that the Ferretti Group has ever manufactured.  The 59 Mercurius rides on a deep-V bottom with 17 degrees of deadrise at the transom and shallow propeller tunnels.  Her top speed of 40.7 mph at 2300 rpm and cruised at 36.8 mph at 2100 rpm. These speeds are similar to what you'd get out of the Sunseeker and Viking.  The quintessential day/play boat, the 59 Mercurius has a garage that can accommodate a 10' RIB. There are stowage compartments outboard of the tender that close with firm latches to ensure containment. Hydraulic power opens the garage and raises and lowers the gangway and swim ladder.  Be pampered by her full beam master with en suite head and lots of closet space and then go all the way forward is the VIP stateroom with en suite head. Riva 59's decor reminds one of something right out of Architectural Digest. In the modem-looking galley to starboard, the drawer faces, along with the refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher doors, are finished in brushed stainless steel. The use of light woods coated in shimmering lacquer instead of dark cherry gives the area a spacious feel. Across the dinette, the locker hatches above the folding-leaf table have a burnished leather fascia.
Riva is synonymous to elegance and luxury but this Mercurius 59 is much more than that, as she is a high performance vessel fitted with 2 x MAN 1360hp engines which reach speeds up to 40 knots!!! Cruising speed at 30 knots with unrealistically low fuel consumption of 300 L/hour, this vessel is ideal for quick getaways!! Professionally maintained, in good condition considering her age.  Riva, the Mercurius is fast becoming a future classic with excellent sea keeping qualities and performance to match. High degree of finish with the finest materials, and like all Rivas, a pleasure to own. This example is a one owner boat with crew / maintenance all year round and low hours (never chartered).
Classic design from RIVA, the Mercurius is a very popular boat with fantastic Italian Design, lines which were far ahead of its time and performance to match. The Riva Mercurius handles extremely well with Sporty hull she effortlessly glides through the waves. Imagine the freedom of your favorite beach destinations on your own Riva.

Above deck you have Round seating area and also sunbeds with to enjoy the Florida sun.

Yachting Magazine's writer, Dag Pike wrote in his October 3, 2007 review:"This new baby of the motoryacht line exudes quality and style.
If I have one complaint about the 59 Mercurius, it is that she is, in a sense, too good. At speed, the boat feels solid with no rattles or vibration, and the smooth ride takes away any feeling of speed, even with the throttles wide open.  This is a sport cruiser, but you and your guests are so well protected that you do not get the expected impression of speed that comes from sport boat performance. The same applies to the 59's appearance. She will stand out in the marina, from the sheer understated quality she exudes.
Anyone who thought the Aquariva was a one-time attempt by Riva to recapture its pedigree need look no further than the new 59 Mercurius to see that Ferretti is serious about rekindling the brand. Her exterior, her interior and her handling all sparkle with the special touches Riva built its reputation on more than a century ago.

It is good to know the Riva reputation is being restored."

She resembles her predecessors in speed, agility, and blue-water performance, but her enhancements include an increased hull volume and an innovative interior layout, which is unlike any Leopard before her. Her galley is located forward and the forward-facing settee and window and an access door to the forward platform of the boat. This allows for a panoramic view with large sliding glass doors between the saloon and the aft cockpit. This arrangement promotes easy communication for guests and an open flow between the saloon and the aft cockpit, creating a fusion of indoor and outdoor living space.
